According to World Expo Site Chief Planner Wu Zhiqiang, the Expo is a gift for all children. The Expo is a paradise for children and adolescents, featuring performances and activities related to the themes of dreams and discovery. With Haibao acting as a leading character, performances encompass puppet shows, shadow plays, children's dramas and multimedia shows. All the activities conducted in the Expo Park will inspire children to discover and create.

In addition, the Expo's 900 carnival parades, creative innovations displayed in the Houtan Square of Zone C and the Expo theme show "Window of the City" are all suitable for children.

The following is a list of shows for children inside the Expo Park:

Rod and stick puppet show: Journey to the West

Time: 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. every day from May 1 to August 8

This show gets its material from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
