This week the Spain Pavilion is celebrating Madrid's week. As a gift to the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, the Madrid officials brought football jerseys and a football signed by the players of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, the two great football teams in the region. Huang Jian-zhi, the Vice Director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, came to the Spanish Basket and received the gifts prepared by the Spanish people to the Expo.

The Spain Pavilion General Commissioner Maria Tena and President of Promomadrid Jesús Sainz also attended the event. Sainz emphasized that football is among the most representative sports in Spain, and people around the world knows about the football teams in Madrid. He also thanked the Chinese people for their support to the Spanish national football team during the World Cup.

Moreover, during the entire week at the Spanish Pavilion, a unique photography booth will enable the general public to discover the city and the Madrid Region in just a few seconds, and be photographed with any of the 9 preset architectural and cultural favorite Madrid locations in the background (i.e. the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the Ventas bullfighting arena, etc.). This will make for a great experience and photo souvenir.

Madrid hopes to show to the Chinese people its uniqueness in the commercial world. Besides communicating with the Chinese enterprises, a seminar "Madrid: The Link Between Europe and Latin America" will also be held between 19th July and 23rd July, welcoming all Chinese and Spanish technological small and medium enterprises.
