The USA Pavilion held a release ceremony today for its official commemorative book "The USA Pavilion Expo 2010 Shanghai: Rising to the Challenge" at Expo 2010 Shanghai. This is one of the first books compiled by a Shanghai Expo participant in salute to one of the largest attended events in human history.

Edited by Amb. Franklin Lavin, Chairman of the USA Pavilion's Steering Committee, "The USA Pavilion Expo 2010 Shanghai: Rising to the Challenge" captures the thrilling experiences exhibited inside America's great hall. Everything you want to know about the USA Pavilion building and the show it presents is included in this book. From early Pavilion drawings, to images of Opening Day excitement, to a tour of the Pavilion itself, this official commemorative book highlights the spirit of America and the splendor of its epic showcase.

Packed with more than 150 vibrant photos, fun facts, maps, and first-person accounts, including quotes from President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and other Pavilion supporters, "The USA Pavilion Expo 2010 Shanghai" is a perfect keepsake for Pavilion-goers, World Expo enthusiasts, American history buffs, and more.

Apart from the Shanghai Expo Park, the book is also scheduled to release this month in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Washington DC. Readers can also find it for sale on Amazon.com and in the USA Pavilion's official online store at http://usapavilion2010store.com.

At over 60,000 square feet (6,000 square meters), the USA Pavilion is one of the largest national pavilions at the Expo. With the theme of "Rising to the Challenge," the United States presence showcases American culture, values, innovation, and business, in one of China's most dynamic cities, while celebrating the friendship and cooperation between the United States, China, and the rest of the world.
