"Kunshan Friendship Day" was held on August 25 at the Shanghai World Expo. In all, 57 guests from 33 countries and regions were invited to participate in the abundant activities held on the day.

They enjoyed a Kunqu performance, which is considered the "king of Chinese operas," and took part in the 6th Kunshan International Beer Festival.

The guests also visited Zhouzhuang, a small town in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, to deepen their knowledge about its excellent traditional culture.

Guests said they were deeply impressed by the town's beautiful scenery and felt so relaxed in its restful atmosphere. Some said they would visit Zhouzhuang again if they have the chance.

The "Friendship Day" activities are jointly held by cities located in the Yangtze River area, helping them to promote business cooperation and financial development.

To date, the "Friendship Days" of six cities out of 17 have been successfully held.
