There is an old saying that the food of a place can best reflect the local people's favor.

When visitors come to the Shanghai Expo, they can try some traditional and local Shanghai snacks, an experience that will make them leave the Expo without any regrets.

Expo visitors can't ignore delicious food, especially when it comes to some really tasty snacks. With a world of cuisine available, some snacks you should definitely not miss are the local ones offered by the host city itself, Shanghai specialties include Fried Stuffed Bun, Tiaotou Pastry, Won Tons Chicken Soup, and Little Dumplings.

When visitors kick back inside the restaurant eating dumplings and sipping hot soup, the stresses of the day simply melt away. But you might have to wait in line here, too. Only 4pm in the afternoon and the restaurants are already full.

A visitor said, "The Chinese Food Street at the EXPO provides us convenience to taste all the famous Shanghai snacks."

Residents of the host city feel right at home eating Shanghai snacks at the Expo. For visitors, it's a great way to get introduced to the local food culture. These snacks are a real calling card for Shanghai and give the country's financial center a welcoming appeal.

Ye Jun, manager Expo branch, SH Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant, said, "Visitors have their meals there to know more about Shanghai including local people's taste and Shanghai food culture."

On Chinese Food Street, not only can you try some Shanghai snacks, but you can get snacks from places all across the country.

So, if you've already visited the Expo, there's good reason to go back. If you haven't been yet, get packing! And don't forget your appetite.
