Canada Pavilion welcomes its 5,800,000th visitor

On behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism), welcomes the 5,800,000th visitor, Xiao Xi Zhi, to the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Canada exceeded its attendance goal two weeks before the end of the exposition.

 

Minister Moore was in Shanghai as part of Canada's first national tourism mission to China. He was accompanied by four provincial tourism ministers including the Honourable Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts, British Columbia, the Honourable Robert Vessey, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Prince Edward Island, the Honourable Flor Marcelino, Minister of Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport, Manitoba, and the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture & Recreation, Newfoundland and Labrador.
