Air Berlin launches flights from Beijing, Shanghai

Air Berlin Friday launched services from Beijing and Shanghai to Dusseldorf respectively. The two routes will be operated with Airbus A330 aircraft five times per week.

At 10:45 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, the flight takes off from Terminal Two at Beijing Capital International Airport and reaches Dusseldorf at 15:15 (local time) on the same day. The returning flight takes off from Dusseldorf at 17:25 and reaches Beijing at 9:00 next morning. At 12:15 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the flight takes off from Shanghai Pudong airport and reach Dusseldorf at 18:20 (local time). The returning flight departs Dusseldorf for Shanghai about two hours after its landing, according to initial flight schedule.

Air Berlin is the second largest airway company in Germany, and the third largest low-cost European carrier. Dusseldorf becomes the third German city which have direct flights to China, after Frankfurt and Munich.
