Bangkok Airways has launched a daily flight from Bangkok to Macao.

With the opening of this new route, Bangkok Airways became the third airline to operate the Bangkok-Macao flights from Macao International Airport, increasing the number of flights from Macao to Bangkok to 45 a week.

Liu Suning, managing director of Macao International Airport Company Limited said that the Southeast Asian market has maintained a stable growth in recent years, and Bangkok Airways' new route will provide more service options for Macao travelers to Bangkok, which is a popular tour city and this is expected to be favorable for the development of civil aviation in Macao.

According to published statistics, for the first half of 2008, the passenger flow through Macao International Airport increased by 19% compared to the same period of last year.
