Qantas Airways expands flight networks

Qantas Airways has announced that it will expand its flight networks in China.

The company will cooperate with China Eastern Airlines to codeshare daily round-trip flights from Shanghai to Chengdu, and Xi'an.

Currently, Qantas Airways operates ten flights a week between China and Australia, including seven flights to Shanghai, and three to Beijing. Through the code-sharing cooperation with China Eastern, Qantas Airways can also offer services to Chengdu and Xi'an via Shanghai and offer more mainland Chinese passengers access to Australia.

In addition to services to Chengdu and Xi'an, the flights that the two airlines are codesharing include: a daily round-trip flight between Shanghai and Beijng with China Eastern. Currently, Qantas Airways also operates 31 round-trip flights a week from Hong Kong to Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
