InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its 11th InterContinental Hotels and Resorts property in Greater China — InterContinental Dalian.

The tallest hotel in the city, InterContinental Dalian is located in the commercial and business district of the city, and is within walking distance from the Dalian railway station and major shopping malls.

"It is more than a five-star deluxe hotel, InterContinental Dalian aims to be a 'Home Away from Home' for our valued guests." said Jeffrey Ong, general manager of the hotel. "We seek to redefine and give a new meaning to luxury travel by creating a truly authentic InterContinental experience for our guests."

IHG says that, with a minimum floor area of 50 square meters, the 508 room InterContinental Dalian has the most spacious guest rooms in the city. Guest rooms are equipped with 42 inch Philips LCD TVs and BOSE entertainment sound systems that include an iPod docking station. Club InterContinental located on the 46th floor has a panoramic view of the city. High speed wireless Internet services are available in all guest rooms and public areas.

Dining options in the hotel include: Café @ 6, an all day dining restaurant with international and local cuisine, Piccolo Italian Restaurant featuring a brasserie concept, as well as a Chinese restaurant, specializing in Cantonese and local cuisine, while the Havana Pub, is said to be the only Cuban theme pub in the city.

InterContinental Dalian is owned by Dalian Ocean Shipping Company a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company.
