Accor opens first pullman hotel in Shanghai

Accor has opened its first Pullman hotel in Shanghai, the Pullman Shanghai Skyway, which is located in the affluent Lu Wan district.

The hotel is within easy access to the popular Xujiahui business district, the north-south city center expressway and the Xintiandi development.

Accor positions the Pullman brand as a hotel for business travelers and with its proximity to the Shanghai Expo 2010 main site in Pudong the group expects that the hotel will be popular with visitors to the Shanghai Expo. Hongqiao Airport is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, and Pudong International Airport is 45 minutes away.

With 653 rooms the 52-story, 226-meter-high, hotel building is currently the highest dedicated hotel building in Shanghai. All rooms are equipped with complimentary high-speed Internet connections, and standard facilities also include iPod connections, in-room fitness equipment, and a flat-screen TVs with satellite channels.

Organized around a number of themes, the five restaurants in the hotel offer a wide choice of fine dining, from the great international classics to the regional and national cuisines.

The hotel offers 17 meeting rooms in various sizes for business and social events, together with a 550 square meter circular ballroom, and a 315 square meter multi-function hall. Every meeting room is equipped with, free Wi-Fi Internet access, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, flat-screen TV, and multi-system video players.
