Jianguo Hotel Xi'an reopens

Jianguo Hotel, Xi'an, the flagship hotel of BTG-Jianguo in northwestern China, is reopening after seven months' renovation.

The hotel was first opened on March 12, 1989, and was the second joint-venture four-star hotel in Shaanxi province. The renovated five-star hotel has 643 guest rooms and suites, making it the largest of the city's five-star hotels.

For meeting organizers, the hotel has a new 3,000-square meter conference center. The seven-meter-high 1,000-square meter pillar-less ballroom together with the eight multi-function meeting rooms can accommodate 1,500 people for various styles of event. The new dining area with allows about 2,000 people to dine together in the hotel.

Yuanhe Jianguo Hotel in Xilin Gol, another new hotel in the BTG-Jianguo group, is expected to open in mid June. This will be the first five-star hotel in Xilin Gol in Inner Mongolia.
