A street featuring famous Taiwan snacks and gifts is scheduled to open in Beijing's Shijingshan district, in October.

Operated mostly by business people from Taiwan, the half a kilometer long street located near the Beijing International Sculpture Park will feature snacks, fast food, gifts, animations, bars and singing performances from the island. A name for the street has not been chosen yet.

Across-Straits exchanges have increased since direct flights between the two sides began, and in a recent survey, Beijing ranked a favorite destination for Taiwan tourists.
