Shangqing Palace

Shangqing Palace was originally built in Song Dynasty, and is one of key palaces and temples of Laoshan.

Located southeast of Laoshan, Shangqing Palace (上清宫) is of the oldest palaces in the hills.

Shangqing Palace was originally built in Song Dynasty, and rebuilt in Yuan Dynasty, and is one of key palaces and temples of Laoshan.

It consists of Front Court, Back Court and Wing Court. The palace has 28 rooms with an area of 1,000 square meters.

It provides only vegetarian food. There are many fruits along the roadside; you can pick some during your walking, which will give you an experience of boundless fun.

Since cars are forbidden to enter the palace, we suggest you take the cableway from Taiqing Palace to the northern part of Shangqing palace. It will save time as well as energy.
