Eastern China's coastal city Qingdao has become one of the mainland destinations most liked by wealthy people, with an increasing number of millionaires choosing to live in the city, Hurun Report said. According to the GroupM Knowledge - Hurun Wealth Report 2011 released by Hurun Report, renowned for its annual China Rich List, the city registered 12,000 individuals with personal wealth of 10 million yuan or more (US$1.6 million) and 620 super-rich with personal wealth of 100 million yuan. That is, one person in every 700 in Qingdao has at least 10 million yuan, twice of the ten-millionaire's percentage over the Chinese mainland, according to the report. Statistics from mainland media showed that Qingdao adds 3 ten-millionaires every day and one hundred-millionaires every seven days on average. Apart from a small amount of local wealthy people, a larger part of the newcomers are super-rich out of the city. As a matter of fact, the enchanting seaside city is blessed with a pleasant climate and characterized with a great deal of European architecture as it was Germany's colony. For most entrepreneurs striving for a survival among modern fierce competition, the city is a good place to relax themselves thanks to its European lifestyle. |
