Nineteen scenic spots in China, including Qingdao Underwater World, won an honorable title of most popular scenic spot in China during an award presentation ceremony at the 2011 China Tourism Appraisal List.

Qingdao Underwater World, located in Qingdao, a coastal city of Shandong province, is the only spot in the province appearing in the top 19.

The appraisal, jointly organized by 22 mainstream Chinese media, has the most significant influence in the country's tourism sector, and gives impetus to the development, marketing and brand creation of tourism in China.
