Sea water desalination and water reuse experts from more than 20 countries and regions will attend the three-day event to explore closer international cooperation in the field.

So far, sea water desalination has supplied drinking water to over 200 million people in the world. The per capita amount of freshwater resources is about 2,100 cubic meters in China, accounting for only 28 percent of the world average level.
