A Boeing 747 freighter loaded with 96 tons of cargo took off from Qingdao Liuting Airport and flied to Dubai recently. It is the first time for the airport to bridge those two cities through air travel.

Authorities said that in the next 10 days 400 tons of cargo will be transported from Qingdao to Dubai through four classes of international cargo charter flights. If the business operates well, regular flights will be formally launched.
