Wanda co-hosts Qingdao International Movie Festival

With a total investment of 50 billion yuan, including more than 30 billion yuan in cultural tourism, the largest scale movie industry project in the world, Qingdao Oriental Movie World, launched on Sunday.

Located in the west of Qingdao, the project focuses on the movie industry and also covers tourism and business. It includes a movie industry park, movie museum, Wax Museum, exhibition center, car limited show, Wanda cultural tourism city, holiday hotel, yacht club, bar street and international hospital. It is the only comprehensive lager scale movie industry park covering film shooting, production, exhibition and tourism. Its completion and subsequent opening are planned for June 2017.

Wang said that the project is the accomplishment of being a powerful country and a great strategy for the development of our cultural industry. The construction of the project will largely accelerate Qingdao's cultural industry and upgrade the level of Qingdao's tourism that make Qingdao become a well-known city in the global movie and/or cultural tourism.
