The autumn session of the 116th Canton Fair concluded on Nov. 4.

According to statistics, the volume of transactions in all three phases has reached US$29.16 billion, falling by 6.1% compared to the 115th. However, volume of transactions made by enterprises in Qingdao is US$1.53 billion, increasing 8.2% compared to the 115th, accounting for 5.2% of the total transactions.

Enterprises attending the Canton Fair not only pay attention to the trade transactions this year, but also focus on showing their scientific strength, promoting their own brand, getting to know international dealers and setting up distribution network overseas. Exhibitors attract dealers by its high performance, diversified design and customized services.

An exhibitor, Qingdao Maizebella Handbags Manufactory Co., Ltd, is experiencing a transition from original equipment manufacturer to original design manufacturer which is also the evolutionary path for most of the enterprises starting as an original equipment manufacturer in China. Xu Tao, general manager of the company said, "After having our own brand, the profit has increased at least 30%, and many foreign enterprises tend to choose self-owned brands."
