The 'Artistic Qingdao' Sculpture Exhibition between China, Japan and South Korea was opened in China-Qingdao Sculpture Museum on November 14th. The art works of 36 masters from China, Japan and South Korea have been collected to the exhibition, which will be exhibited from November 14th to December 15th.
The 36 famous contemporary sculptures, bringing more than 80 art works, were led by Wu Weishan, the curator of China Academy of Sculpture, Ryohei Miyata, the head of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and Han Zhenxie, the president of South Korea Sculpture Institute. Besides the masters, there were also sculpture fans attending the exhibition. A student from Qingdao University said that he was fond of the sculpture work 'Asking for Direction' of Wu Weishan.
The exhibition had been prepared for more than half a year and the museum provided both professional staffs and material resources for it. After the opening ceremony in the morning, the 'Artistic Qingdao' Sculpture Academy Forum between China, Japan and South Korea was held in the afternoon as well, in which they discussed the themes such as the current situation and the future of sculptures, the evaluation and suggestions for the exhibition, etc.
