According to the QingdaoMunicipal Tourism Administration, a few days ago the large-scale 3D tunnel painting in Qingdao International Horticultural Expo succeeds in challenging "the biggest perpetual 3D drawing" and is certificated by the Guinness World Record.

The 3D tunnel painting, which is 111 meters long, 7.75 meters wide and 6.975 meters high, is located in the tunnel between Huanshan East Road and Huanshan North Road. The perspective principle is applied in the drawing, taking the viewers’ viewpoint as the reference. The viewers’ viewpoint is the original point of sight in the formation of the painting, with the use of 2D drawing to make a virtual 3D painting in the visual space. The painting is divided into 5 parts: Fantasy land, Polar World, Flying Birds in the Ancient City, the Leaping Whales and Ice-breaking of breakers. As for the size, the former Guinness World Record holder is a 3D drawing of 1,570 square meters made in German in 2012, while the painting in Qingdaois 2,632 square meters. This 3D painting is going to be new tourism landscape in Qingdao.
