Licang District has actively adapted to the new normal, with "full cover, all-round control and no excuses" as its working method, rebuilding city functions，injecting economic vitality，improving environment and people's livelihood as its four main tasks,to make progress in the process of building a modernized new Licang.

In 2014, Licang District has promoted the transformation and upgrading, as well asa steady economy, when making sure the successful completion of two major programs: International Horticultural Exposition and North Station.It has completed the relocation of 37 enterprises and emptied an area of over 3100 mu. SociétéGénérale and other financing institutions are brought into the district.

In 2015, Licang District will focus on constructing an economic structurefor sustainable development and ecological city environment, through a transformation of government functions and encouraging innovations and startups. It will accelerate a steady growth of regional economy and stand firm to boost transformation development. Furthermore, it will set up a consulting and assessment mechanism for programs and pay much attention to constructing the 101 major programs. Accelerating cross-border e-commerce industry and the construction of 6 districts and 7 sections will provide strong support for innovative development.
