Qingdao Art Gallery opens on Feb. 2

On Feb. 2, Shandong Province Artists Association – Qingdao Art Gallery opened in the New City of Dingziwan in Blue Silicon.

The gallery, with total investment of 0.1 billion yuan, covers an area of 55 mu and the overall floorage is 21000 square meters. The exhibition hall covers about 8000 square meters. The gallery is composed of 10 buildings including exhibition building, artwork exchange center, training center, reception center. It has integrated the functions of collection, exhibition, auction, research, education, academic communication and public culture service. It will cooperate with many famous art agencies domestic and abroad for its expertise and devotion to public welfare.

Qingdao Art Gallery, a professional art gallery exclusively belongs to Shandong Artists Association. It is designed by Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University, it is a fully functional gallery with advanced facilities.

On Feb. 2, “Dream of Qilu – 2015 Exhibition of Chinese Painting by Masters” was held. Works painted by 163 artists from China Artists Association, Shandong Artists Association and professional art school are displayed in the gallery. Over 200 pieces of paintings by masters from Ming and Qing Dynasty and modern times are also displayed and open to citizens.
