Home port of Qingdao to witness first sailingin May

On May 29 this year, “New Century” from SkySea Holding International Ltd will sail for the first time in home port of international cruise in Qingdao. Two international routes will be opened to public: Qingdao-Nagasaki-Fukuoka-Qingdao and Qingdao-Jeju Island-Busan- Kagoshima-Qingdao.

The home port is located in the beautiful downtown of Qingdao City and the length of coastline is 996 meters. The port which is 490 meters long has been completed. Qingdao Port has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai SkySea Holding International Ltd. and reached a consensus in the issue of collaboration.

Home port of international cruise in Qingdao has 3 berths for cruise liners and will be put into use in May. The world’s largest cruise liners of 225,000 ton-classsuch as “Allure of the Seas” can call at the port. An international passenger transport center will be constructed as auxiliary facility to build the “center of cruise liners in the north of China”. The center will cover an area of 59,000 square meters with 3 floors above the ground. Its maximum clearance capacity of ports can reach 3000-4000 people per hour.
