Jimo Port reproduces the bustling fishing village

The 400-year-old Jinkou Port will revive and show the port culture, commercial culture, folk culture, overseas trade and architecture style of Shandong Peninsular. Through the program of restoring ancient Jinkou Town, the former site of Jinkou Port will be built as a fishing village. Now the program is in its second phase. Reporter learned that Jinkou Port Dingzi Bay is part of the Development Plan of Shandong Peninsular Blue Economic District.

Jinkou Town is located in the northeast of Jimo City, with Dingzi Bay to its east, Aoshan Bay to its south. The prosperity of Jinkou Port boosts the regional economy.

The program covers an area of 194 mu and the restoration will cover 39000 square meters of buildings and auxiliary facilities. When the program is completed, the total output will reach 50 million yuan, paid taxes can reach 6 million yuan and it will fit the people’s needs of recreation and entertainment.

The restoration work is divided into three parts:, the first phase, relocation work has been done; the restoration in the second phase is undergoing and the third phase will focus on details of the construction.
