Recently General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and Qingdao municipal government, signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting the blue economy of Qingdao, launching the first marine equipment quality supervision and inspection center in China.

This program is located in core area of Qingdao Blue Silicon Valley, covering an area of over 71,000 square meters. It will provide the third-party inspection service and technical support for offshore engineering equipment such as bathyscaphe, ocean platform, and submarine cable.
