Software and information service industry in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province, maintains a good momentum of rapid growth this year.

In the first quarter, the software sector registered totally 48.42 billion yuan (US$7.3 billion) in business revenue, up 18.7 percent over the same period of last year.

The sources of revenue mainly include software products, information technological service and embedded system software.

In the first quarter, the software product income reached 17.07 billion yuan, up 18.8 percent over the same period of last year, among which information-secured product registered 4.11 billion in the revenue, up 22.4 percent. Information technological service registered 16.66 billion yuan, up 19.1 percent and the embedded system software 14.69 billion yuan, up 17.9 percent.
