Qingdao to build marine supercomputer

The Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology recently contracted with the Inspur group for building a supercomputer.

The computer will be the most powerful marine supercomputer and capable of a quadrillion calculations per second.

It will serve the China's integration, utilization, opening and sharing of marine data and resources.

In addition, the lad will cooperate with Inspur group and the National Supercomputer Center in Jinan to jointly build the Laboratory of Marine Intelligent Calculation and Big Data, which will promote the localization of core technology and transfer of scientific and technological achievements into productivity.
