Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build a cloud computing base, data center and innovation center in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province.

Huawei will also use its world-leading cloud computing and big data technology to construct a regional cloud computing service platform.

According to the agreement, Huawei will work together with its partners to develop a software and information industry chain in Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

The Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone will cooperate with Huawei to promote the fast development of the city's high-tech industries.
