Qiankou Village

Qiankou Village is located in Yansi County of Huangshan City. Zongze, a famous general in the South Song Dynasty, and Tao Yuanming, a famous poet in the Dongjin Dynasty, lived there. The village is famous for its Ming Dynasty dwelling houses. The Qiankou Dwelling Museum includes three ancestral temples, four dwelling houses, one stone arch bridge, one marble archway and one curb pavilion, all of which were listed as key national cultural protection units under the approval of the State Council in 1988.

Admission: 50 yuan, 40 yuan for a group ticket, 30 yuan for a student ticket

How to get there: 1. Take a bus to Huizhou District of Huangshan City and change to a bus to Qiankou Village;

                            2. Take a minibus to Yansi from downtown Huangshan and change to a minibus to Qiankou Village (4 yuan) or take a taxi (35 yuan)

Tips: 1. The forest coverage rate of Qiankou Village amounts to 72%. With moist air and an average temperature of 19℃, the village is an agreeable destination in all four seasons. A tour around Qiankou Village may take 3 hours.

         2. There are many friendly farmhouses for lodging. Since it is not far from downtown Huizhou District, you may have more options there.
