Situated in Le'an County, Liukeng Village has over 1,000 years of history. It was built during the Southern Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties in Chinese history (937-943) and most residents are surnamed Dong. Surrounded by green mountains, it offers attractive scenery as well as countless talents. Liukeng Village is famous for its large-scale architecture as well as unique building layout. The architectural style differs from that of imperial buildings and ordinary farmers residences. The village now has over 260 Ming and Qing sites, 18 architectural groups, 48 ancestral halls, eight temples as well as many precious culture heritages.

How to get there: take a bus from Le'an County Shangmao City Station.

Tips: 1. there are many farmhouse hostels, cheap and clean. The best choice is Liukeng Mountain Villa, which is a three-star hotel that combines accommodation, eating and entertainment;

         2. The best tourism season is from the second day of the spring festival to the 15th of the first lunar month, when you can see many folk-customs events;

         3. Agrocybe chaxingu, Mei fish, Mei tofu are specialties
