Zhujiayu Village is renowned as the "No.1 Village in Shandong Province", which is made up of numerous stone lanes and tight mud alleyways as well as bridges and spring wells. Zhujiayu was originally called Chengjiaoyu and changed its name in the Ming Dynasty as their ancestors were all surnamed Zhu. It has preserved the original bridge, ancestral halls, ancient springs, and so on, to provide modern generations with a valuable culture heritage. It now has over 200 ancient buildings, 99 stone bridges, 66 ancient springs and over 100 landscapes.

How to get there: 1. It is located at the 485 km point on national highway 309. It takes about 45 minutes by bus from the Jinan intercity bus station;

                           2. Take a bus to Mingshui at Jinan East Bus Station; the pone-hour journey costs 6 yuan;

Tips: 1 Folk houses are rare in Zhujiayu Village, Zhangqiu Mingfeng Hotel is a good choice (address: Zhangqiu development area; telephone: 0531-3315688)

         2. It has many eating places, such as Lingquan Luyan restaurant, Wenfeng restaurant, Qingquan restaurant that provide delicious local cuisine;

         3. You may find sea shell fossils on the mountain to the left of the village;

         4. Zhu's ancestral hall opens on the first day of the first lunar month for children and grandchildren to worship, but girls are not allowed in.
