Situated in Panyu District of Guangzhou City, Dali Village was home to many second runner-ups (tanhua), successful candidates (jinshi) and provincial graduates (juren) in the highest imperial examinations. The most famous structure of the village is Xianzong Ancestral Hall, with brick-carving walls and wood-carving framework. To the left of the main gate is a decorated stone carving in the appearance of western children, a rarity in ancient structures.

Special features: Xianzong Ancestral Hall

How to get there: 1. Forty minutes' drive from downtown Guangzhou by Huanan Expressway;

                           2. Take Line 2 subway and get off at Shiqiao and walk to Shiqiao bus station; take a bus to Lianhuashan Scenic Zone and get off at Shilou Town (3.5 yuan).

Tips: Be sure to visit Dakui Pavilion and First Spring of Peishan
