Situated northeast of Hancheng City, the village, mainly consists of two clans of Dang and Jia. 'Siheyuan', a courtyard house, is a typical representative of traditional house building in Dangjia Village, which is regarded as "the living fossil of the ancient and traditional folk community of the oriental humankind". Dangjia Village owns beautiful environment as well as splendid culture. There are still over 100 courtyard houses and ancestral halls, offering precious research and appreciation value. The Chinese government also opened up many rare heritages such as Wenxing pavilion, Jiexiao stele and Beiyangbao fortress, etc.

How to get there: Take a bus to Xiayukou from Hancheng Bus Station and get off at Dangjia Village.

Tips: 1. You'd better stay in the village at night so as to enjoy the peace of an ancient village;

         2. Farmhouses available in the village, 10 yuan/bed, but generally without a bathroom.

         3. There is a public bath house in the village. Farmhouse offers dinner, 7 yuan per person.
