On August 4 a 12-minute promotional film entitled Beijing 2008 was launched across a variety of media platforms including TV networks and the Internet. The new film showcases to the world the true fascination of the city, with panoramic views of the city's ancient and modern architecture alongside items on food, entertainment and much more.
The short film was directed by top Chinese Director Feng Xiaogang, and presented by Pegasus & Taihe Entertainment International. From 500 hours of video, nearly 30,000 photos, and over 300,000 words of text and interview, Feng and the production company will cut a 90-minute version of the film which will hit cinema screens nationwide by the end of 2008.
