Fourth stop -- Matsuko

From the A Thousand and One Nights turning right along the Third Ring Road, you will find sushi lovers' favorite Matsuko, a presence in Beijing for more than 10 years and known for its fresh and sufficient supply of sashimi and reasonably priced lunch buffet.

The restaurant serves almost all typical Japanese dishes, from sashimi, sushi, tenpura, seafood barbecue to Japanese rice wine. Customers are impressed by its fresh and thick slices of Salmon sashimi. By the way, the restaurant will keep the wine you order but do not finish and you can have it next time you dine there.

Its lunch buffet is the most famous, costing each person 78 yuan (11.3 U.S. dollars) from Monday to Friday and 88 yuan on weekends. But it will be quite crowded and sometimes you have to wait for tables.

Matsuko has two other branches which have a more cozy environment than the flagship. Tables are set in wood pavilions beside small pools inside the restaurants. You can eat while watching red Japanese Koi fish swim in the pool.
