Pinchas Zukerman, one of the top ten violin players in the world, graced the Beijing International Music Festival with a concert on Tuesday night. To spice things up, a 14-year-old Chinese girl played alongside Zukerman for part of the performance.

It's Pinchas Zukerman playing Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, accompanied by the China Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Zukerman was then joined by fourteen-year-old Chinese violinist Yin Ou Ka Lin, for Bach's Double Violin Concerto.

The sixty-one year old Zukerman has been nominated twenty-one times for Grammy Awards, winning two times. He is listed as one of the top ten violin players in the world, and is the youngest among the ten.

Yin Ou Ka Lin won first place at a televised national violin competition for the under-17 group last year, and is the youngest player at the Beijing International Music Festival.

While Zukerman praised Yin Ou Ka Lin for her acuity in music, the young talent cherished the opportunity to collaborate with the master.

Violin player Yin Ou Ka Lin said, "I was chosen to play alongside with Zukerman, for winning the title of CCTV's violin competition. I'm very lucky."

The duo of a master and a upcoming star is a new idea that the Beijing International Music Festival is using to attract an audience. It's also a move to promote classic music to younger generations.
