The sixteenth agricultural high-tech fair has kicked off in Yangling, in northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Over 1,000 firms from 45 countries and international organizations are participating in the expo, with over 5,000 agricultural technologies and items on display.

With the theme "technology leads to modern agriculture," the event features booths that deal with topics ranging from agricultural high-technology, applied technology, and international technology, to mechanics and a modern sample zone.

The expo was launched in 1994 in Yangling, and deals worth 160 billion yuan have been inked over the years, benefiting China's agricultural development in arid and semi-arid regions.
