NO.4 THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123

This thriller is based on the novel of the same name. It's also the second remake of the original 1974 film, following the 1998 TV movie. Four heavily armed men, led by Ryder, played by John Travolta, board New York City subway 6 train as it departs from Pelham Bay Park and take control of it. MTA dispatcher Garber, played by Denzel Washington, solves the crisis with his mastery of the underground system. The movie's director, Tony Scott, also has credits in Top Gun and Enemy of the State.
