The China Disabled Persons' Federation has initiated several charity events aimed at drawing more social support for handicapped children. And many entertainment stars from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan have shown their enthusiasm to take part.

Andy Lau, Hong Kong Actor and Singer, said, "What we can do for these children is very limited. But I want to be part of these charity events no matter how tight my schedule is. To me, the charity business is more important than my own career."

In recent years, more and more entertainment stars have become involved in philanthropy. Kongfu master Jet Li, and pop diva Wang Fei and her husband even launched their own charity foundations.

Riding a wave of publicity, these stars are looking to create more awareness about disadvantaged groups.
