A total of 123 children from Haiti are now in the southern Dutch city of Eindhoven. The orphans, aged two months to seven years, are expected to meet their new families.

They arrived on a plane chartered by the Dutch government and two adoption agencies. Psychologists were aboard the flight to help them deal with post traumatic stress.

Most of the children have already been matched with new parents. Nine are approved for adoption but not yet matched with families.

Another 14 are being placed under the care of Luxembourg's adoption authorities. The organizer says getting these children from various places in Port-au-Prince to the airport was a big challenge.

Macky Schouten, Netherlands Adoption Foundation, said, "It was a very difficult logistic operation. All the children's houses have different locations and they had to come to central point from various houses. During the flight, children are very tired. They received basic food and drink. Most of the children fell asleep and about two hours before the landing they woke up and with more food and drink. It was like a big playground in the plane."
