Since February 17th, more than 75,000 Toyota RAV-4's... made in China... have been recalled. Their problem faulty accelerators.

Many defective Toyota cars are waiting for checks and repairs in Toyota Motor Shops in Beijing. RAV4 sport utility vehicles owners say they were contacted just after the start of the Spring Festival.

RAV 4 owner, said, "I received the recall message two weeks ago. But I have been following the issue for some time because of the news. Therefore I came to have my car checked at the first opportunity."

The owner says he is satisfied with the service of the shop.

Zhang Xuesong, Service Manager, Fangzhuang Toyota Shop, said, "We made appointments for our clients to save time for them. Therefore generally, each client needs less than one hour for the check in our shop."

Another RAV 4 owner, said, "I hope the Toyota Motor Shop can find the problem and solve it for me."

Working Staff, said, "We've been repairing around twenty to thirty cars a day since the 17th."

Most Toyota owners are hoping the problem can be quickly traced and solved but their most worrying issue is the safety of the car.

In addition to RAV4, China's product safety watchdog is warning drivers of imported Toyota models Tundra, Camry and Corolla to check for possible defects as well.
