Severe drought continues to plague southwestern China's Yunnan Province.

In the provincial capital Kunming, the surface of Wu Jiaba International Airport's only runway has been fractured.

Repairs have been going on since Tuesday. The airport is closed every day from midnight to seven-thirty in the morning.
