Heavy storms have battered east and central China, bringing heavy rainfall and cooler temperatures. In Jiangxi and Hubei Provinces, temperatures dropped by eight degrees Celsius.

Rainfall reached 150 millimeters in some parts of Jiangxi, while 80 millimeters fell in Hubei. The Central Meteorological Bureau has forecast three more days of heavy rain in Hunan, Anhui, and Fujian Provinces. It also warned of possible torrential floods.
