Combining a lively stage show and 3D screen effects, the UK drama "Aladdin's Adventures" is currently being staged at the Beijing Exhibition Center Theater. Based on the classic fairytale from A Thousand and One Arabian Nights, it's the only show in the series of "Meet in Beijing" performances, that is tailored exclusively for children.

The bilingual stage drama takes the children's audience along on Aladdin's adventures.

The cast, comprising performers from both the UK and China tell an intriguing story. Aladdin an Arabian street waif, goes in search of a magic oil lamp, which can grant its owner three wishes. But he has to fight an evil force to keep hold of the lamp and use its magic for good.

"I like the show because the performers come into the audience and interact with us. It's fun!" The audience member said.

The show is full of elements designed to keep the children's attention, using Chinese language, joyful dances, tuneful melodies, and the ever changing 3D stage backdrops ...... The old story is revitalized with a modern twist.

Liu Jing, Project Manager of Aladdin's Adventures, said, "The difference of this show to others is the 3D effects. We are blending movie technology with stage performance, which is more entertaining to audience."

Magic illusions are another highlight. A man transforms into a beautiful lady...a mystic cavalier jumps out from among the audience seats. Aladdin's Adventures gives plenty of opportunities for kids to scream, while they can enjoy looking cool in their 3D glasses!
