Foxconn President Terry Gou is denying claims that the company's factory is a sweatshop. The rebuttal dominated his first public comments after a rash of suicides at the company's Shenzhen manufacturing compound.

Foxconn President Terry Gou said, "We'll try our best to solve this situation. Words are powerless. We must spring into action. I believe the company is definitely not a sweatshop. We've got more than 800,000 workers. There's a lot to do every day."
