New regulations on foreigners living in China

The ministry of public security has released new regulations that allow five categories of foreigners to apply for residence permits in China.

Those people includes: Chinese citizens' foreign spouse, as well as their parents and children; foreigners above 60 years-old, who have no relatives in their countries, but have relatives in China, as well as their foreign spouse; foreigners above 60 years-old who own houses in China, as well as their spouse and children who are under 18 years old; foreigners who come to China to look after their Chinese parents who are above 60 years old and with no children in China; children of overseas Chinese or children of Chinese citizens who have residence permits in other countries.

There are no limitations of entry or exit for those residence permits, and they will be available for 2 years.
