An exhibition chronicling the life of Albert Einstein kicked off at the Science and Technology Museum in Beijing on Sunday. The show, jointly presented by the Historical Museum of Bern in Switzerland and the Embassy of Switzerland in China, is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Swiss diplomatic ties.

On display are more than two-hundred items illustrating the life and times of Einstein, including pictures, notebooks, audio and video materials and other memorabilia.

Stealing the limelight of the exhibit is a bicycle used in Einstein's numerous experiments as he developed his Theory of Relativity.

The exhibition was held for the first time in 2005 by the Historical Museum of Bern in the Swiss capital in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Now, five years later, the show is introduced to Beijing. Organizers say the exhibit aims to show the immense beauty and diversity of the universe via up-to-date technology, bringing visitors back through time and space to the Big Bang.

The exhibition in Beijing runs till October, free of charge to the public. It will then move to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
