And finally some good news for workers at Foxconn. The company is raising the pay of its production workers by 30 percent, starting from June 1st. Our reporter, Li Yani, is in Shenzhen to tell us how the workers feel about the salary rise.

Outside the gate of Foxconn, the announcement of the pay increase is in a very prominent place, next to another announcement calling on workers to cherish their lives.

A Foxconn worker said, "The wage before was 900 yuan and now has been raised to 1200. Basically I'm a little happier."

A Foxconn worker said, "I'm not that excited. I kept hearing about it and have been waiting for too long."

There's still some uncertainty about the pay increase among the workers.

A Foxconn worker said, "It is said that only production line workers get more pay and others have not been informed."

Workers go about their daily working routines everyday despite recent suicides at the factory.

In addition to the increased salaries, a series of measures have been taken to prevent the suicide attempts from happening again, for example, iron bars have been added to all the dorms.

Up to the end of our interviews, no official comments have been made about the pay increase by Foxconn.
